Different types of seal kits have different installation methods, common types: reciprocating motion seals and skeleton oil seals for rotation. The installation method of the skeleton oil seal for rotation: the first step, when taking the oil seal out of the warehouse, check whether there are dust and sand and other impurities on the surface of the oil seal and the lip, so as to avoid these substances from damaging the lip and shaft during the shaft movement, causing leakage.
In the second step, for oil seals with more than two lips like TC, TA, TB, and TF, please fill the lip with grease, and for single-lip oil seals like SC, VC, and VB Apply grease to the end. The third step is to confirm that there is no foreign matter such as anti-rust oil or dust attached to the surface of the shaft and cavity. If there is any, please clean it.
The fourth step is to confirm that there are no burrs on the surface of the shaft cavity and chamfers, so as to prevent these burrs from damaging the lip during installation.
The fifth step is to assemble it into the cavity. It should be noted that the installation direction of the custom seal kit is that the sealing lip faces the sealing introduction side. The sixth step, when installing the oil seal, please use a special clamp to avoid the oil seal from tilting during installation. Installation method of hydraulic cylinder seals:
1. Receive a fixed number of oil seals.
2. From oil seal collection to assembly, it must be kept clean.
3. Before assembly, check the oil seal, one of basic mechanical components, and measure whether the size of each part of the oil seal is consistent with the size of the shaft and cavity. Before installing the oil seal, first compare the size of the shaft diameter with the inner diameter of the oil seal, and they must be consistent. The inner size of the cavity should be suitable for the width of the outer diameter of the oil seal. Check whether the lip of the oil seal is damaged or deformed and whether the spring falls off or rusts. Prevent the oil seal from being placed flat during transportation, and being affected by external force extrusion and impact, which will damage its roundness.
4. Do a good job of machining inspection procedures before assembly. Measure whether the dimensions of the cavity and the shaft are correct. Especially inside chamfers. There must be no slope. The end face of the shaft and the cavity should be smooth and clean, the chamfer should be free of damage and burrs, and the assembly parts should be cleaned. There should be no burrs, sand, iron filings and other sundries at the shaft loading (chamfer) part, which will cause oil seal lip For irregular damage, it is recommended to use r-angle at the chamfering part.
5. In terms of operating skills, you can feel it with your hands to see if it is smooth and round.
6. Do not tear off the wrapping paper too early before the oil seal is installed to prevent debris from adhering to the surface of the oil seal and being brought into the work.
7. Before installation, an appropriate amount of lithium-based ester with molybdenum disulfide should be applied between the lips of the oil seal to prevent dry grinding of the lips and affect the interference of the lips when the shaft starts up instantaneously. ASAP, assemble. If the oil seal seat installed with the oil seal is not installed immediately, it is recommended to cover it with a cloth to prevent foreign matter from adhering to the oil seal. Hands or tools applied with lithium-based grease must be clean.
8. The oil seal should be installed flat, and there should be no tilting phenomenon. It is recommended to use hydraulic equipment or socket tools for installation. The pressure should not be too great, and the speed should be even and slow.
9. For the machine with the oil seal installed this time, mark it for easy tracking, and pay attention to the whole process. When the transition is installed on the stepped shaft, it is necessary to use a copper sheet to guide the transition or use a plastic tape to protect the transition, so as not to damage the oil seal.
